Description

The Essex Quilted Gilet is constructed from windproof and water-resistant quilted fabric that provides optimal protection in blustery weather. The interior is fleece-lined for ideal warmth and features six interior pockets for ultimate functionality. Finished with a stand up collar, hidden zip-front, and exterior side pockets.

High quality materials (especially the trim), nice color (gray), and love the pockets (though the vest might look lumpy if they’re all filled).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Quality Gilet This is a very well made, light and comfortable gilet. Half a dozen pockets which are large enough to carry odds and sods without being too bulky. The gilet looks good under a jacket or an overcoat and can also look smart when worn over a large heavy wool sweater. My only criticism is that the zip is on the right....On every other garment I own the zip sits on the left. It is fiddly, but not a deal breaker. One of my better decisions...🙂

My only gripe but minor was the sizing tag and hook tag, and it's why I gave it a 4 stars instead of a 5. The tag at times would rub the back of my neck making it uncomfortable, so cut them off and problem solved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart warm vest for all occasions. The quality and comfort of the material is very good, it's warm and stylish and does exactly what I needed it for. It wears as an underlay on cold days or a smart overlay as well. Ideal lightweight gilet/vest top. The black isn't overly black more a charcoal which compliments other colours well when combined.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful vest / sized wrong! Looked like a great vest but neither the XL or XXL fit me. Your customer reviews said they run large so order a size down. This is not correct. Maybe I received 2 vests that were cut small in error, although I doubt it. Most everything I wear is an XXL so clearly these should have fit. I was looking forward to using this vest, seemed to be just what I was looking for, but it didn't fit.

It is more of a navy blue/black. Excellent fit is true to size. It slightly overpriced. I am quite happy with it overall.

I recently decided to grab a black one and, once I received it, noticed that unlike previous vests, it doesn't have snap buttons - only a zipper. Just another example of a company cutting costs, I suppose, but I was disappointed.

Coat is designed with tight sleeves and form fit. That seems to be the style now. The details are beautiful and worth the money if the fit is correct. I am not sure why they call a coat a vest. Sleeves do not remove. Again, lovely and great quality.
